Established in 1808, Koyama Honke Brewery Co., Ltd. is a deeply traditional brewery boasting a history of over 200 years, based in Sashiogi, Nishi Ward, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. Its journey began when the founder, Matabei Koyama—who mastered brewing techniques in the renowned regions of Nada and Fushimi in Hyogo—discovered a crystal-clear natural spring in Sashiogi. Today, it has grown into a major brewery with one of the top shipment volumes in eastern Japan, as well as the core enterprise of a group that leads multiple breweries nationwide.

Under the unwavering philosophy of "Quality First," the brewery crafts its sake by drawing underground water from a depth of 180 meters, which flows from the Chichibu Mountains into the Arakawa River system.
